Weddings at St. James

Of all the many arrangements you will be making for your wedding day, the arrangements you make with the church are the most important. The following material is provided to assist you in planning for your special day at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church of Coopersburg, PA. The people of St. James Congregation celebrate the love you have found in each other and, along with the staff, are glad to serve you in your preparations. 

Please contact the church office as soon as you have an idea for a possible date. This should be no less than six months prior to your wedding. It is important that the date and time be approved to avoid any conflicts in scheduling at the church or with the staff schedules. Please be mindful that the pastor and church staff have holiday and vacations.  Special consideration will need to be made for weddings scheduled on holiday weekends (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, New Years Eve) and please note that weddings are not performed in the church on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or during Holy Week. 

Once you have a date scheduled with St. James, a wedding coordinator from the church will assist you throughout the planning process, during the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding. The coordinator will be available to assist you with questions regarding flowers, candles and other logistics at the church. The church secretary is able to prepare bulletins for the wedding. The church organist should also be contacted regarding music for your wedding ceremony.
