God's Backyard Bible Camp VBS: August 2-6, 2021

As part of Backyard Bible Camp VBS, the children will be participating in the Allentown Rescue Mission’s “Books to the Rescue” program. The men of the Rescue Mission collect, catalogue and organize donated books and give to local elementary schools for teachers to pass these books to their youngest and most needy students.

Everyone is invited to join in donating “gently used” or new preschool or elementary level books.

God's work. Our hands. September 12, 2021
This day is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. St. James has recognized its gifts and used them each year to work for our community and people around the world. DO YOU HAVE A Project Idea? Share your idea with Vicky Richter or Pastor John today!

Senior Apartment Lunch on Sept 12th: St. James Social Ministry Team has decided to organize a packed lunch with food, goodies and gift cards for the residents living in the senior apartments. Stay tuned for details on how you can help with the food and goodies. We will accept monetary donations from now through Sept 1st to purchase Coopersburg Diner gift cards. Donations can be dropped in the offering plate or sent to the office marked "Senior Lunch". Keeping it local and supporting our local businesses!

Project Comfort quilts will be available after worship on September 12th. People may stay and help tie them at church OR you may choose to take some home to tie and then return them the following week. ALL AGES CAN HELP WITH THIS PROJECT!

Project Comfort is looking for people to join in the ministry of sewing fabric squares together to make quilt tops. Extremely easy directions and fabric provided! The group is also collecting bed sheets (new or used) that are used as filler for the quilts. For more information contact Vicky Richter 610-442-9091

A Message from Pam Page

There are many ways you can give to St. James during this unprecedented time.

We have a link to Vanco Services available on our website. This is the company that handles our Simply Giving.  Simply Giving can be set up for automatic giving for one month, two months or any given period so we can add a stop date if needed. You can give through an ACH payment which will deduct your contribution out of a checking or savings account. You can contact me for more information and to set this up. There is also a giving app, Give+, from Vanco and instructions for that are also on the church website giving page

We also have Pay Pal which allows you to contribute through your own Pay Pal account which would come out of your account or checking account - which ever you have set up with Pay Pal.

Contributions of written checks will always be accepted by mailing them to the church office. Although our activities may be curtailed for a time, our fixed expenses for our ministries, staffing, and building operations continue. Thank you for your continued support!

To contact Pam, send an email to ppage619@gmail.com or call (610) 360-0226.
