Social Ministry Bread Day: Pull out your favorite recipes for bread, cookies, pies and muffins and help the Social Ministry team raise funds on November 10th for refugee efforts including unaccompanied refugee minors. We are pleased to have a speaker, Madap Sharma, from Bethany Christian Services to give us information on the process these young people go through to become citizens. Funds raised will be donated to Lutheran World Relief and Bethany Christian Services.

Baked goods will be available all morning long on November 10th for a free-will offering. Say yes when someone calls to ask you to help by making something for Bread Day!

2019 In Gathering

Help a child have a Merry Christmas! We will again be providing gifts for Bethany Ministries Refugee Resettlement. If you would like to help, choose a gift tag from the tree in the lobby and add your name, phone number, and email next to the number on the sign-up sheet. Wrap the gifts (no bows), attach the tag, and place them in the box by the coat racks and return by November 24. Thank you for spreading some holiday cheer!

THRIVENT POP-TAB CHALLENGEThrivent will partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities for Thrivent’s Giving Tuesday initiative. We are challenging churches and organizations throughout our region to help us reach our goal of collecting 10 million pop tabs by participating in our 1st Annual Pop Tab Challenge. A box will be in the lobby for tabs through the end of November!

God’s work. Our hands. All our hands working together completed quite a bit of work on September 8:

  • 50 Quilts Tied
  • 25 Fleece Blankets Made
  • 134 LWR Personal Care Kits Assembled
  • Community Garden Cleared
  • Over 90 people were served lunch at the Coopersburg Senior Apartments Picnic

Thank you to all who tied, wrapped, sorted, weeded, cooked, baked, served, set up and cleaned up!
