The Conference Kitchen, a service of the Lehigh County Conference of Churches, ensures that the working poor, homeless, elderly, children, people between jobs, individuals on fixed incomes, and those who have nowhere else to turn can receive a free nutritious meal, three times a day, five days a week. The meal is prepared and served by a difference congregation, synagogue or mosque, to as many as 200 needy persons. St. James volunteers are responsible for this ministry on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
